Pawtucket – Judy E. (Ferrell) Baker, 70, of Benedict Street, died Monday, November 7, 2022 at the Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the companion Christopher Dunn, whom she considered her soul mate, and the wife of Walter Baker.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James and Pearl (O’Neal) Ferrell, she had lived in Pawtucket for the past twenty years.
Judy was a certified nursing assistant in private practice for many years before retiring. She was a wonderful cook, and loved her family and friends. She was a real people person, who always went out of her way to make everyone around her comfortable, warm and happy.
Besides her companion, she is survived by one son, Walter Baker, Jr. of Pawtucket; one sister, Joyce Mitchell of Pawtucket; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Baker, Alasia Baker, Walter Baker III, Wakeim Baker and Destiny Smith; and one great grandson, Davian Fortes. She was the grandmother of the late Moriah Rodriguez, and the sister of the late Martha Ferrell.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
