Manville - Joseph Grasso, Jr., 66, of Winter Street, died Monday, October 31, 2022 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of Marguerite (Moreau) Grasso. Mr. & Mrs. Grasso had been married for thirty-nine years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph Grasso, Sr. and Marilyn (Ainsworth) Korfhage, he had lived in Manville for the past thirty-nine years.
Mr. Grasso was a forklift operator at CVS Distribution Center, Woonsocket before retiring ten years ago. Joseph also worked as a driving range attendant at New England Country Club, Bellingham, where he enjoyed golfing, and was an avid fisherman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth A. Grasso of Manville; one son, Joseph M. Grasso of Manville; one sister, Kathleen Abreu of Pawtucket; two brothers, David Grasso of Coventry and Douglas Grasso of East Hartford, Connecticut; and two grandsons, Nathan Grasso and Marshall Grasso.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery, Manville. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Thursday, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
