Pawtucket - Joseph A. Charpentier, Jr., 60, of Coyle Avenue, died Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, With family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Sungsook (Park) Charpentier.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Campbell) Charpentier, he was proceeded in death by his Brother in laws Bill Brown and Bob Vaz, he was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Charpentier was the owner of Red's Plastering Co., Pawtucket. He had many friends who he loved him dearly. He enjoyed fishing, He was like Santa Claus when the children came around always handing them cash. He was a very hard worker and provider for his family. He took a whirlwind trip across the country with his Son in 2023 making memories driving from San Diego, CA back home to "the bucket" with many stops along the way. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Joseph A. Charpentier III of Pawtucket; three sisters, Kathryn Brown, Rita Vaz and Margery (Alan) Poisot; two brothers, Leo (Marlo) Charpentier and Louis Charpentier as well as his nephews, Joseph Brown, Edward Newton, Robert Vaz, Bradley Vaz and William J. Charpentier. nieces Nancy Brown, Mary Brown and Michelle Newton and many great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:00 - 11:00 am at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
