Centerville, MA – Joseph Ernest Camire, 73, of Centerville, MA, beloved husband and father, passed away on June, 13 2022. Born in Warwick, RI on March 15, 1949 to Gertrude and Ernie, Joseph attended Bishop Hendricken High School and the University of Rhode Island, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He worked in the transportation industry before retiring in 2015 to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and he continued to work part time as a courier for Cape Cod Hospital. He enjoyed his retirement playing golf with the Early Birds Golf League and traveling the world.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Joan Marie, children Joseph Ernest and his wife Kimberley, Todd John, and Ryan Matthew and his partner Joseph. He was the cherished grandfather of Erin, Abigail, and Zahra. Joseph also leaves behind many friends and family, including his brother James, his wife Karen, their children, and nieces and nephews in Alabama. He is predeceased by his parents, Gertrude and Ernie, sister Valerie, and brothers William and Steven.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38501 or to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, Second Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540 would be appreciated.
