Lincoln - John M. Hoyle, Jr., 59, of Lincoln, died Sunday, May 3, 2026 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the loving husband of the late Linda Aubin.
Born in Providence, a son of John M. and Carol (Hulcup) Hoyle of Cumberland, he was a lifelong resident of Lincoln.
Mr. Hoyle worked as a building official and housing inspector for the Town of Lincoln, the Town of East Greenwich, the State of Rhode Island and the Town of Tiverton. In addition, he freelanced as an architect and draftsman through his company, Lime Rock, Associates, drawing up building plans for family and friends.
John was a collector of cars, especially Mercedes-Benz, and enjoyed music, dogs, and fishing, as well as art and architecture, which he studied at Northeastern University.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Katherine Hoyle of Albion; his son, John M. "Jack" Hoyle III of Theodore, Alabama; and his siblings, Kerri Duquette and Jason Hoyle, both of Lincoln.
