Pawtucket - John F. "Jay" Donahue, Jr., 74, of Pawtucket, died Saturday, July 19, 2025 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Diane Donahue.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late John F. and Ursula (Kerwin) Donahue, he was raised in Cumberland and lived most of his life in Pawtucket.
Mr. Donahue worked as a machinist for many years with Standard Nut & Bolt, and later as a deliveryman for the Providence Journal. Jay was an avid card player and enjoyed getting together with friends at the Filibuster Club, Cumberland and the Garfield Social Club Central Falls to play Hi-Lo Jack.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Donahue of Pawtucket, his in-laws Tina Donahue of Cumberland, Mark Figuerado of Pawtucket and Michelle Boudreau Donahue of Warwick; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Daniel Donahue, Michael Donahueand and Patricia Figuerado; and the brother-in-law of the late Lisa Donahue.
