Lincoln – John “Jack” F. Babbitt, Jr., 77, of Manville, died Friday, March 20, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Laferriere) Jacques-Babbitt.  Mr. & Mrs. Babbitt had been married for twenty-four years.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late John F. and Jeannette Babbitt (Letellier), he had lived in Manville for the past twenty-eight years, previously living in Pawtucket.

Mr. Babbitt worked as a computer technician for Tech Industries and PM Computer Services before retiring.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of the Poisson-Cournoyer-Carpenter-Bacon Chapter 12, DAV, Woonsocket.  He was a communicant of Saint James Church, Manville.

He loved to paint, particularly with oils. He loved reading and watching National Geographic and spending time with his family. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by one stepdaughter, Melissa Bibeault, and her husband James, of Manville; one stepson, Vincent Jacques, and his wife Annette, of Narragansett; two sisters, Janice Renehan of Virginia and Patricia Crowe of New Hampshire; and four step-grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late James Babbitt.
