Joe Faustino Quintanilha

Central Falls - Joe F. Quintanilha, 67, of Central Falls, died Friday, January 10, 2025 at Lincolnwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, North Providence.

Born in Faial, Açores, a son of the late Joao and Irene (daSilva) Quintanilha, he has lived in Central Falls for the past fifty-seven years.

Mr. Quintanilha worked as a maintenance worker at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence before retiring.

An avid car collector, he was proud of his collection of Lincolns and BMWs. He was an animal lover who leaves behind his best four legged friend Susie. He was a member of the Grupo Amigos da Terceira, Pawtucket, the Holy Ghost Brotherhood of Charity, East Providence, and the União Portuguesa Beneficente, Pawtucket.

He is survived by one sister, Bernadette Quintanilha and her partner Barry Grodzitsky of Central Falls; one brother, Francisco Quintanilha of Faial; two nieces, Monica Daniel and her husband Clifford, and Meghan Raposa Bowron and her husband Matthew; his sister-in-law, Crisalida Quintanilha; and two great nieces, Gemma and Gia Daniel. He was the brother of the late Joao Quintanilha. He leaves behind two aunts and several cousins. One most dearest to his heart Lina Estrela.

His funeral will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 at 9:00 AM from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
