Lincoln
Joan C. Reid
On November 16, 2025, Joan's journey through this life ended joyfully as she reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 58 years, the late William A. Reid, Jr.
Born and raised in Lincoln, she was the daughter of William and Sarah (Brown) Parkinson and sister of the late Janice (Parkinson) Harris, William R. Parkinson, Shirley Kaczmarek of FL, and Margaret (Reid) Bowden.
After graduating CHS in 1952 she worked in the Secretarial Department of Sayles Finishing Co. for two until she and Bill started their family, and became a stay-at-home mom, which was the best job ever.
Joan is survived by her four sons: David & Barbara of West Warwick, Jeffrey of Lincoln, Mark & partner Andrea of Sharon, MA and Michael & Lucy of Cumberland. She also leaves her cherished granddaughters Jenna & Steven of NY, Julia, and Emily, and her beloved great grandchildren Oliver and Gracie Messer. She was also survived by her friend and former daughter-in-law, Keri Yuppa of Cumberland, and several dear nieces and nephews.
At Joan's request, services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Shriners Hospitals for Children will be deeply appreciated. To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com. Arrangements with Bellows Funerals & Cremations, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
