Jin Kye Obituary

Lincoln - Jin Kye, 53, of Lincoln, died peacefully at home on Friday, March 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Jin was the cherished husband of Lee Ann (Ayotte) Kye for 23 years, a bond filled with love that began in college and brought over thirty years of laughter, unwavering support, and two beautiful sons, Jake and Max, whom Jin was deeply proud of.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Jin was the son of the late Hyong Kwan Kye and Kyong Ja Lee. He spent many years in Providence before moving to Lincoln 15 years ago. A graduate of Rhode Island College with a degree in Fine Arts, Jin's creativity knew no bounds. He was a talented designer in the packaging industry, working for Abbott-Action Packaging in Attleboro, as well as International Packaging in Pawtucket. But his artistic spirit wasn't confined to his career. In his free time, Jin found peace and joy in painting with acrylics, working with wood, making music, and capturing beauty through photography. His green thumb was unparalleled, as evidenced by the plants he meticulously nurtured. He found serenity outdoors and appreciated the beauty of nature. Not one to sit still, he could always be found working on the yard, the house, cooking for his family, or attending the sporting events of his boys.

Himself a lifelong athlete, Jin was a passionate sports enthusiast. Whether it was playing hockey, golf, soccer, tennis or baseball, he was always eager to get involved, share his love for the game, and encourage others. His competitive nature and determination made him a valued teammate, and his energy, humor, and genuine nature made him a friend to all who knew him.

Jin leaves behind his beloved wife, Lee Ann Kye, their two devoted sons, Jake Kye and Max Kye, as well as his sister, Nuni Kye of Michigan, and brothers, Yong Kye of Guam and Ho Kye of Flushing, NY. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who were inspired by his incredible strength and tenacity throughout his battle with illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln.
