Jelili A. Daodu

Providence - Jelili A. Daodu, 65, of Providence, died Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the loving husband of Doris Daodu, whom he met when he was 19 years old, and married in 2015.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, a son of the late Yekini and Falilatu Daodu, he moved to the United States in 2015.

Mr. Daodu worked with his father operating a metals recycling company. He would later help his wife as a caregiver. He was a dedicated member of the Kingdom Lighthouse Church, Providence.

Jelili was a social butterfly, known for his warm and friendly nature, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Abisola Daodu and Mariam Daodu; his son Mumuni Daodu; his grandchildren, Oluwasemilore Ogunjide, Oluwatofunmi Ogunjide, and Naomi Praise Daodu; and his sisters and brothers.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 11:00AM - 12 Noon at Bellows Funeral Chapel, followed by a Celebration of His Life at 12 Noon.
