Cranston- Alice J. “Jean” Kelly, 85, of Cranston Street, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Arthur Kelly. Born in Whitinsville, MA, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Loretta (Latraverse) Desjarlais. She lived in Woonsocket, Manville and Lincoln prior to moving to Cranston several years ago.
Mrs. Kelly was the Senior Center Bus Driver for the Town of Lincoln for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers Arthur, Eugene and Ernest Desjarlais.
She is survived by her children, Kim Temporal of Cranston and Brian Kelly and his wife Robyn of Smithfield; five grandchildren, Benjamin Kelly, Talia Temporal, Isabella Temporal, Wyatt Kelly and Abigale Kelly; one great grandchild, Patrick Kelly; sisters, Beatrice Choquette of Woonsocket, Lillian Decelles of Fredericksburg, VA, Rena Houle of Stuart, FL and Annette Desjarlais of Stuart, FL,; and brothers Raymond Desjarlais of Stuart, FL and Paul Desjarlais of Virginia.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00a.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Rd., Lincoln with visitation from 10-11a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to HopeHealth Hospice would be appreciated.
