South Kingstown – Jean A. Brassard, 77, of Wakefield, died Saturday, February 28, 2026 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rachel (Fecteau) Brassard, to whom he enjoyed fifty-six years of marriage.
Raised in Cumberland, a son of the late Arthur J. and Diana (Berard) Brassard, he resided in South Attleboro for many years, before moving to Wakefield seven years ago.
Mr. Brassard was a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and worked at New England Power Services in their Accounts Payables department before retiring.
Jean enjoyed traveling with his wife, cruising through the Caribbean and Europe, and to Bermuda, as well as spending time in Florida and the Cape. He had a wonderful sense of humor that he shared with his family and friends. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandson Wyatt.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Allison Hughes and her husband Mark, of Cambridge, Mass.; one sister, Jeannine Fichter of Colorado; and his grandson, Wyatt Hughes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
