Jane E. (Norton) Mullen, 71, of Naples, Florida died Sunday, May 14, 2023 at home surrounded by her family following a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of James P. Mullen whom she was married to for forty-eight years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary R. (Smith) Norton.
Spending time with her family and grandchildren was of upmost importance to her. She had a loving and caring group of friends who she considered family. Jane often put everyone above herself as she always wanted those around her to be happy and felt cared for. She continually sought out ways to spread her generosity. Jane was very active, enjoyed golf, had a love for travel and was an avid Red Sox fan. Above all else, she treasured her family and enjoyed taking the lead planning and preparing for annual vacations on Block Island, ensuring lasting memories for everyone present.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Ami Mullen, Erin Mullen and Megan Cotter with her husband Matthew; and three grandchildren, Kaelyn, Brody and Mason.
Jane and her family are extremely grateful for the support, care, and guidance received from Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 at 12 Noon in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, and may attend calling hours prior to the service from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, 249 Roosevelt Avenue, Suite 201, Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated.
