Lincoln - James A. Monaghan, 76, formerly of Central Falls, died Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, the son of the late James M. and Anna (McCabe) Monaghan, he had lived in Central Falls for most of his life, moving to Lincoln twenty years ago. Eventually, moving to the Lincoln Housing Authority where he was very happy. He was a graduate of Saint Raphael Academy, Pawtucket.
Jimmy worked as a distribution worker for many companies, and as a stockroom worker for Home Goods before retiring. He enjoyed watching baseball and basketball as well as playing basketball, and was the basketball coach at Holy Trinity School, Central Falls.
He is survived by his two cousins who enjoyed spending time with him for the past several years and many other family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 17, 2024, at 9:30 am in Holy Spirit Parish, 1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
