Jairo L. Patino, 59, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at The Miriam Hospital, Providence. Born in Medellin, Colombia, he was a son of the late Juan De Dios Patino and Alicia Barrientos.
He had a passion for classic cars. He enjoyed his career as an automobile mechanic. He was a hard worker and enjoyed tackling life’s challenges. He lived for his family and loved them dearly. His heart of gold left a mark in the hearts of those that knew him. We will remember him as a generous, loving man that always put his family first. He lived by the motive “no mountain too big or too tall to conquer.” He was a devote husband, a loving and dedicated father & loved being a grandfather. He did an excellent job proudly wearing all these hats and will be terribly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Lilian Del Carmen Giraldo of Colombia and his children, Michael Patino of Cranston, Angie Patino-Orellana of Johnston and Stephen Patino of Johnston. He was the grandfather of Jaxson Orellana and Jazlyn Oliver and brother of Martha Jaramillo and the late Javier Patino.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in Holy Spirit Parish, 1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls. Burial will take place in Colombia. Visitation 6-9PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Rd., Lincoln. PLEASE NOTE: Per the R.I. Dept. of Health due to Covid-19, only fifteen (15) people may be in the funeral home at any time during the visitation.
