Manville- Helen T. Bennett, 90, of Manville, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at The Holiday in Lincoln. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Edouard and Florence (Bouvais) Berard. She had lived in Central Falls for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Central Falls High School and worked as a teller at RI Hospital Trust, a cashier at Duchesneau Pharmacy and was a lunch lady at Central Falls Schools before her retirement. She was a member of the Woman’s and Mother’s Club at Holy Trinity Church and was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Spirit Parish. She was an avid walker, loved quilting and was a loving grandmother.
She is survived by her loving children, Patricia A. Labossiere of Lincoln, Michael A. Bennett of Fall River, MA, Bruce S. Bennett of Clifton Springs, NY, Daniel J. Bennett of Attleboro, MA and David A. Bennett of Lincoln and five cherished grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Caring sister of George Berard of Pawtucket and Raymond Berard of Portsmouth. She was the sister of the late Roger Berard, Claire Lemieux, Louise Beland, Lucille Berard, Paul Berard, Maurice Berard and Jean Berard.
Her funeral will be held at 9AM on Wednesday from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Rd., Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7PM.
