Harry J. Clauson

Cumberland - Harry J. Clauson peacefully passed away on October 24, 2023, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, at the age of 85. Born on June 1, 1938, in Pawtucket, Harry was the loving husband of the late Janice D. Clauson, with whom he shared forty-seven wonderful years of marriage before her passing in 2017.

Having spent most of his life in Cumberland, Harry dedicated over four decades as an accountant for the Pawtucket Mutual Insurance Company.

Harry's most treasured moments were spent in the company of his family and friends. He had a deep appreciation for music, particularly fond of big band melodies, and he skillfully played the accordion.

Harry is survived by his beloved son, Jeffrey P. Clauson of Meriden, Connecticut, his cherished grandson, Rye Clauson, his devoted brother-in-law, Paul Tucker of Smithfield, a niece, several nephews, and many friends. He was the brother of the late Brenda Tucker and Shirley Machowski.

To celebrate his remarkable life, a funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Following the service, Harry will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.
