Obituary

West Greenwich - Gregory C. Fales, 73, of West Greenwich, died Saturday, July 15, 2023 at home, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Deborah C. (Meiklejohn) Fales. Mr. & Mrs. Fales had been married for forty-eight years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late George and Elizabeth (Roth) Fales, he had lived in Exeter for many years, moving to West Greenwich nearly twenty years ago.

Mr. Fales was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, and worked there throughout his career as the Turf Farm Manager, retiring in 2013.

Greg enjoyed skiing, and staying at his cabin in Dublin, N.H., overlooking Mount Monadnock, and had served on the Ski Patrol at Pine Tops Ski Area, West Greenwich. He was an avid sailor, and in his younger days would race boats with his father. He was a skilled guitar player, playing in many bands.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Geoffrey Fales of Exeter. He was the brother of the late Steven Fales.
