Pawtucket - Glenda (Pollard) Watters, 90, of Pawtucket, died Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home, Riverside. She was the beloved wife of the late Lucien E. Watters.
Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late George and Alice (Eccles) Pollard, and stepdaughter of the late William Gonyeo, she had resided in Pawtucket for over seventy years. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School.
Mrs. Watters worked as an administrative assistant for the Red Farm Studio, Pawtucket before retiring.
She was a member of the former Cumberland Community Methodist Church. She loved being around her family and friends, and in her free time, enjoyed horseback riding and traveling.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Hague and her husband Scott, of North Kingstown, and Karen Green, and her husband Jeffrey, of Providence; one son, Timothy Watters, and his wife Lynne, of Tiverton; four grandchildren, Kimberly and Jonathan Watters, and Pamela and Elizabeth Hague; two great grandchildren, Gabriel Medeiros and Alessandra Ambrosio; one great-great granddaughter, Julianna Medeiros; and several nieces and nephews. She was the great grandmother of the late Maria Ambrosio; and the sister of the late Janice Oldham Goyette.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, January 4, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Family and friends are invited, and may call prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
