Lincoln - Gerard Belisle, Jr., 83, of Lincoln, died Sunday, May 7, 2023 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Gerard and Rachel (Cote) Belisle, he had lived in North Kingstown and Fort Lauderdale, Florida for many years, before moving to Lincoln one year ago.
Mr. Belisle worked as a comptroller for Sheraton Hotels and Lago Mar Beach Resort, Fort Lauderdale, and was the owner of Ma Glockner's Restaurant in Boca Raton, Florida before retiring. He was a graduate of Bryant University, and a veteran of the Rhode Island Air National Guard, serving during the Berlin Crisis of 1961.
He is survived by one daughter, Jo-Ann Belisle, and her husband Keith Shallcross, of Lincoln; one son, John Belisle, and his wife Marcie, of North Providence; two nephews, Michael and Jay Bradley; six grandchildren, Bryan Cavaliere, Julia and James Belisle, Mitchell, Oliver and Ben Shallcross; and three great grandchildren, Mila, Maverick and Maddox. He was the brother of the late Lucille Bradley.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Military honors will follow. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Private burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
