Cumberland - George W. Haworth, Sr., 96, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Tockwotton on the Waterfront, East Providence.
A lifelong resident of Cumberland, he was the son of the late Albert Victor and Marion (Booth) Haworth. He was employed by Hindley Manufacturing Company for nearly 50 years until retiring in 1991. George was a proud to have served his country in the United States Navy during Korea, having served upon the USS Caloosahatchee and USS Robinson. He was a proud member of Masonry, having served as past master of Unity Lodge #34, F.& A.M., Cumberland, and the Scottish Rite, Palestine Shrine. Lest not forget his passion for his beloved New England Patriots and New York Yankees.
George was predeceased by his wife Judith A. (Jones) Haworth, and sisters Dorothy Dufala and Muriel Biron as well as his brothers Albert Haworth Jr., Stanley Haworth Sr., James Haworth and Clyde Haworth, Sr.
George leaves his daughter, Deborah Rozak and her husband Steven of Shrewsbury, MA and his son George W. Haworth, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Seekonk, MA, as well as four grandchildren Jeffrey Rozak of Florida, Michael Rozak of Shrewsbury, MA, Victoria Haworth of New York City and Jonathan Haworth of West Wareham, MA.
His funeral will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 9:00 AM from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Historic Swan Point Chapel, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Family and friends are invited and may attend visiting hours on Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM.
