Cumberland - Gary H. Phillips, 65, of Cumberland, died Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the longtime partner of the late Timothy Holloran.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, a son of the late George W. and Joan (Sturm) Phillips, he resided in Cumberland for many years.
Gary was the owner of GHP Associates, focusing on carpentry, machinery and pipe organ repair and restoration. He was a member of the Southern New England Theater Organ Society. Gary was also a contributing writer to various theater organ publications, and to instrumental magazine
An avid boater, he was a member of the Narragansett Boat Club, serving as Captain of the Fleet. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the GALA Bowling League.
He is survived by two step children Jaime Ledoux and Timothy E Holloran, one brother, George Phillips; one sister-in-law Beth Bourguignon; two grandchildren; and several dear friends. He was the brother of the late Glen Phillips.
