Lincoln - Gail D. (Mooney) Baluch, 75, of Kirkbrae Drive, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Dennis Baluch, to whom she had been married for fifty-four years.
Born in Attleboro, Mass., a daughter of the late Francis and Violet (Mikelson) Mooney, she grew up in Pawtucket and had resided in Lincoln for the past forty-eight years.
Mrs. Baluch worked as an elementary school teacher at Potter-Burns School, Pawtucket for twenty-one years retiring in 1991.
An avid painter, she enjoyed working with watercolors and was a member of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time in East Matunuck and at Walt Disney World, Orlando.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kristen Conway and her husband Greg of Suffield, CT, and Jill Burke and her husband Todd of East Greenwich; one son, Kevin Baluch and his wife Christina of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Christopher Mooney of Florida, Thomas Mooney of Narragansett, and David Mooney of Pawtucket; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joyce Solotke, Frank Mooney and Daniel Mooney.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
