Pawtucket - Frederick B. Bejma, 84, of Bloomfield Street, died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce K. (Krzyzek) Bejma.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Anthoni and Bertha (Ferfecki) Bejma, he had lived in Pawtucket for many years.
Mr. Bejma worked for Rhode Island Hospital Trust and BankBoston, before retiring. He later went to work in the Transport Department of the former Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
A U.S. Army veteran, he also served for thirty years in the Rhode Island Army National Guard. He was coach for many years with the Pawtucket Youth Hockey Association, and was a communicant of Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, Pawtucket.
He is survived by his son, Michael Bejma, and his companion Christine Boomhower, of Pawtucket, and grandchildren Stephen Bejma, and his wife Kayla, and Allyson Bejma, and great grandchildren, Nathan and Jenna Bejma; and son Paul Bejma, and his wife Maria, of Pawtucket; and grandchildren, Mercedes and Alexis; He was the brother of the late Joseph Bejma, John Bejma, Charles Bejma and Matthew Bejma.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Thursday, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Social distancing will be followed, and all guests will be required to wear a mask.
