Lincoln – Francis V. Dickinson, 76, of Crest Drive, died Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille (Robichaud) Dickinson.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Earl T. and Mary (McClarnon) Dickinson, he had lived in Lincoln for the past fifty-one years.
Mr. Dickinson worked as a maintenance worker at the former Ciba-Geigy Chemical Company, Cranston before retiring. Prior to that, he worked as an auto mechanic for the former DiNobile Service Station and Larry’s Lincoln Gulf.
He was a coach for Lincoln Little League for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, to whom he was inseparable, and was always willing to help anyone in need. His favorite thing, though, was spending time with his grandson.
He is survived by one daughter, Julie Dickinson of Pompano Beach, Florida; one son, James Dickinson, and his wife Courtney of Lincoln; one grandson, Tyler Dickinson, who was the light of his world; three brothers, Ronald Dickinson of South County, Robert Dickinson, and his wife Lucille of Oklahoma, and William Dickinson, and his wife Jeanne of Warwick; one sister, Charlene Carducci, and her husband Michael of Smithfield; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:00 am in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
