Evaline G. (Waddington) Richmond

Lincoln - Evaline G. (Waddington) Richmond, 102, formerly of Lincoln and Pawtucket, died Friday, January 31, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Greenhouses, East Greenwich. She was the beloved wife of the late George C. Richmond.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James and Annie E. (Wadsworth) Waddington, she had lived in Pawtucket until 1952, and resided in Cumberland and Lincoln for most of her life. She was a graduate of Pawtucket East High School, Class of 1941.

Mrs. Richmond worked as a bookkeeper for the thirty years with Pawtucket Manufacturing Co., as a receptionist for Dr. Richard Bertini and fourteen years for the Ward-Fisher Co, retiring in 1992.

An accomplished singer, she was a singing member and member of the Board of Directors of the R.I. Civic Chorale Orchestra and gave recitals. She was a member of the Chopin Club and the Queen Esther Chapter #2, O.E.S., Pawtucket. She was a longtime parishioner of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Pawtucket where she sang in the choir for many years.

She is survived by two nieces and two nephews. She was the sister of the late Geraldine A. Waddington and J. David Waddington.

A Memorial Eucharist will be celebrated Saturday, March 1, 2025 in Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 50 Park Place, Pawtucket. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Private burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
