Lincoln - Esther Fraser Aubin passed away on September 27th, 2023 at the age of 101 in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Arthur V. Aubin.
Esther was born on September 30, 1921 in Providence, a daughter of the late John and Mary (McCarthy) Fraser. She had attended Holy Name School, and graduated from St. Xavier Academy in 1939. Esther attended Edgewood Secretarial School and worked for the telephone company until she married Arthur in 1950.
Esther and Arthur owned and operated Aubin's Variety in Pawtucket for many years. They moved to Lincoln in 1951 and raised five children. Esther was a faithful communicant of St. Jude's Church and was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society and the Women's Guild. She also volunteered as a "Friendly Visitor" to elderly members of the parish. Esther will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a generous and caring friend.
Esther was predeceased by her son Arthur Aubin Jr., her sister Mary (Fraser) Allen and her brother John Fraser.
She is survived by her daughters Marie George of Lincoln and Suzanne (Paul) Goodwin of Warwick, and her sons Stephen Aubin of Northfield, MA and Daniel (Beth) Aubin of Lincoln. She leaves ten grandchildren: Timothy Goodwin, Caitlin Goodwin, Emily Peacock, Alicia Aubin, Arthur Aubin III, Mollie Goodwin, Zachary Aubin, Cameron Aubin, Christopher Aubin and Cullen Aubin. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
