Elsie G. Comstock

Seekonk - Elsie (Gray) Comstock, 97, formerly of Seekonk, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Mount St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert V. Comstock.

Born in Cumberland, the daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn (Haworth) Gray, she had lived in Seekonk for over sixty years before moving back to Cumberland.

Mrs. Comstock worked as the secretary for Central Congregational Church, Providence, for twenty-four years, retiring in 1985. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School and Bryant College.

She is survived by one son, Edward R. "Ted" Comstock, and his wife Beth, of Holliston, Mass.; two granddaughters, Diane Durfee, and her husband Ryan, and Leslie Praetsch, and her husband Mark; and one great granddaughter, Maeve Durfee.

A Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving will be celebrated Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Historic Swan Point Chapel, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
