Pawtucket - Elinor A. (Brown) Berry, 95, formerly of Blackburn Street, died Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at West Shore Health Center, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Thatcher J. Berry.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Harold S. and Elsie W. (Brown) Brown, she had lived most of her life in Pawtucket.
Mrs. Berry worked as a secretary and stenographer at Pawtucket Manufacturing Co. before retiring to care for her family.
An accomplished singer, she was a soloist who sang at numerous weddings and funerals for many years. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Good Shepherd, where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Episcopal Church Women and the Tusom Club, and had run the church Thrift Store for ten years.
She is survived by one son, Paul T. Berry of Warwick; seven grandchildren, Michael Berry, Melissa Berry, Eric Berry, Lauren Gilligan, Russell Beauregard, Holly Junge and Lisa Ober; and eight great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David Berry and the sister of the late Harold S. Brown, Jr.
A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Monday, September 18, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 490 Broadway, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
