Eleanor M. Carpenter

North Attleborough - Eleanor M. Carpenter, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

Eleanor, affectionately known as "Auntie", was born on June 6, 1944 to late Raymond Holmes Carpenter and Yvonne (Cournoyer) Carpenter. She was a lifelong resident of the Adamsdale section of North Attleborough, residing on the farm her family had owned for over one hundred years. Eleanor was a 1962 graduate of North Attleborough High School. She worked in the insurance industry for over sixty years, beginning her career with Frank Holbrook Insurance and later with the Reinbold Insurance Agency, retiring at the age of 79 in November, 2023. Many of her clients became lifelong friends.

Eleanor was a dedicated member of Cushman Union Church in Adamsdale, having served in many capacities over the years, including as Deaconess, Trustee and Treasurer. She had a servant's heart and was always willing to care for and support anyone in need, and she always put others ahead of herself.

In her spare time in the summer, Eleanor loved to tend to her flowers, especially planting and sharing her colorful "zinnias" with family and friends, and always kept her home and yard in immaculate condition. Her apple and custard pies were mainstays at many a family gathering. Most of all, Eleanor loved spending time with her family.

She leaves her brother, Howard E. Carpenter and his wife Diane, of North Attleborough; her sister, Janice A. Solomon and her late husband Richard, of Providence; her brother-in-law, Frank Bennett of Mansfield; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Carol Bennett. Eleanor was much-loved and will be greatly missed.

At her request, her funeral and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
