Dorothy "Dot" (Lincoln) Eastwood, 88, passed away November 3, 2021 in Hospice in Sarasota, FL. Her husband, Edward J. "Jerry" Eastwood, 94, of Bristol passed away August 11, 2025 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol.
As their children described them, Mom and Dad enjoyed picnics together at Colt State Park in Bristol, where they took delight in the beautiful views. They were excellent dancers who loved to be on the dance floor in each other's arms at weddings and family functions. Dad loved sports, especially the Boston Red Sox, and Mom loved nothing more than curling up with a good book being the voracious reader that she was. The two of them were enthusiastic card players as well, all while enjoying laughter with Mom's sisters and their husbands.
More than anything else though, they loved spending time with all of their family. Their devotion to each other and to their family was extraordinary.
Mom and Dad are survived by their children, Maureen Collins, Kathleen Flood and her husband Steven, Janice Ribb and her partner Stephen DiPaola as well as Janice's former husband Richard and family friend, and Elizabeth Ashline and her husband Randy; their nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Dorothy and Edward will be interred together in a Niche in a private ceremony at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com. Arrangements entrusted with Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
