Lincoln – Edward J. Walsh, Jr., 84, of Lincoln passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was married for 38 years to the love of his life, the late Janet I. (Charron) Walsh, who passed away in 2004.
Born in Cumberland, a son of the late Edward J. and Catherine “Kitty” (Morrison) Walsh, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 58 years.
Mr. Walsh was a pressman for the former Paramount Cards in Pawtucket for 47 years retiring in 2001.
He was a member of the former St. John’s Episcopal Church, Ashton.
Mr. Walsh was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He camped for many years at Echo Lake Campground, where he had many friends. He loved fishing, racing, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his two loving sons, Edward J. Walsh, III and John W. Walsh, both of Lincoln; and two cousins, Carol Greer of Simpsonville, SC and William Morrison of Coventry.
His funeral service will be held Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11 A.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial, with military honors, will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends may call Monday from 10:30 A.M. Social Distancing guidelines will be followed, and all guests will be required to wear a mask.
