E. Dorothy (Robertson) Shey

Lincoln - Ellen Dorothy Shey, 96, of Lincoln, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the beloved wife of the late John Shey.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late George and Ellen (Lomax) Robertson, she had resided in Lincoln her entire life.

Mrs. Shey worked as a typist for Paramount Press, retiring in 1993. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School, Class of 1946.

Dorothy loved her family above all else, and enjoyed winters in Florida, as well as springtime in Maine. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her son, John Shey, Jr., and his wife Susan, of Lincoln; one sister, Marilyn Little of Cumberland; three granddaughters, Heather Reilly, and her husband Thomas, Jennifer Flanagan, and her husband Timothy, and Stephanie Rodrigues, and her husband Stephen; and seven great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Cynthia Shey, and the sister of the late John "Jack" Robertson.

At the family's request, her funeral and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
