Lincoln - Dhanalakshmi Pichaiyan, 83, of Albion Road, died 10th day of December 2021 at Lincoln, RI surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Pichaiyan Natesan.
Born in India, she was a daughter of the late Tharmiya Vandayar and Rengammal Tharmiya she had lived in India before moving to the United States in 2006.
She is survived by her loving children and son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws, Usha Panneerselvam, M.D. and Somasundaram Panneerselvam M.D. of Lincoln, Dorairaj Pichaiyan and Ramaprabha Dorairaj of Long Valley, New Jersey, Govindaraj Pichaiyan and Navaneetham Govindaraj of India, Rajeswari Karthikeyan and Karthikeyan Venkatachalam of India, Selvaraj Pichaiyan and Kavitha Selvaraj of Sparta, New Jersey, and Ramesh Pichaiyan and Kayalvizhi Ponnusamy of Newtown, Pennsylvania; her brother, Muthukumarasamy and sister, Muthulakshmi, both of India; thirteen grandchildren, Amudha, Sudha, Balu, Nataraj, Prabhu, Anu, Aishwarya, Gowrishanker, Raghuram, Karthik, Gowtham, Surekha and Arivuchudar; her favorite nephew Mohan Vandayar and her caregiver, Jojina Pakyanathan.
She joins her husband Pichaiyan Natesan and late son, Raghu Pichaiyan in her eternal journey.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, who grew up in humble means in Agarathirapu, India. She was a pillar of support to her husband in realizing her mother-in-law’s dreams of providing her children a good education and a bright path for generations. In addition to a loving mother and a guide, she was an excellent cook, Rangoli champion of the local neighborhood in India, Croquet specialist and an avid fan of Tamil soap operas. Her amazing ability to cherish 60+ year old anecdotes and her quick-witted sense of humor will be missed.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road. Relatives and friends are invited, and all guests will be required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.
