Denise M. (Genest) Silva

Smithfield - Denise M. (Genest) Silva, 65, of Pheasant Run, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Joseph Silva.  Mr. & Mrs. Silva had been married for forty-six years.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Leo and Helen (Clarke) Genest, she had lived in North Providence before moving to Smithfield a few years ago.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Marlene Silva of Bedminster, New Jersey; one son, Joseph L. Silva, and his wife Saovala, of North Providence; one sister, Lorna Galick of Syracuse, New York; one brother, Donald Genest of Smithfield; two grandchildren, Jesse Daoheuang and Christian Daoheuang; and one great grandchild, Jaivion Daoheuang.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Sunday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.  Social distancing will be followed, and all guests will be required to wear a mask.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Susan G.
