Lincoln - Denis F. Fleurant, 68, of Lincoln, formerly of Smithfield, died Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Brissette) Fleurant, to whom he had been married for thirty-nine years.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of Marie "Connie" (Leclaire) Fleurant of North Smithfield, and the late Francis A. Fleurant of Naples FL.
Denis worked as a salesperson in the building supplies industry, working for Milot Brothers Company, Lyle Fain Company, and United Builders Supply, (Riverhead Builders). He was co-owner of the former Privilege Auto Parts, Woonsocket. In his leisure time Denis enjoyed being with his family and friends. His pets were also a special part of his life. His sense of humor will always resonate with those who knew him well. Denis's quick wit brought smiles and laughter to those around. He had a big generous heart which brought him to help many people throughout the years.
A former member of the Sher-Le-Mon Swim Club, he served on the Board of Directors and as Vice President for many years.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four sisters, Marie Curci of Glocester, Michelle McManus of Maine, Monique Cremer of Lincoln, and Melissa DeLoreto of Westerly; five brothers, David Fleurant of Alaska, Daniel Fleurant of Cumberland, Douglas Fleurant of Burrillville, Derek Fleurant of Cumberland and Donald Fleurant of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. He was the beloved father of the late Stephen Fleurant.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM in at Saint Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 17 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
