Attleboro, Massachusetts – Deborah A. (Barton) Scarpaci, 78, of Attleboro, MA and formerly of Cumberland, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Attleboro Health Center, Attleboro.. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Scarpaci, who died in 1987. Her husband was her one and only true love.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Walter E. and Leila C. (Nadeau) Barton, she had lived in Cumberland for fifty-four years before moving to Attleboro last year.
Mrs. Scarpaci was a medical secretary in doctor’s offices including the office of Dr. Arbetta Kambe in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.
She loved to garden and cook, as well as enjoying a glass of wine.
She is survived by one son, Marc R. Scarpaci of Cumberland; one stepdaughter, Lisa Wain of Taunton, Massachusetts; one stepson, Frank G. Scarpaci of San Diego, California; one sister, Joan Governo of Seekonk, Massachusetts; two grandsons, Luke and Jonathan Blais; and several nieces and nephews. She was the stepmother of the late Stephanie MacPhail and Steven Scarpaci, and the grandmother of the late Curt Greco.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 14, 2020 at 10 A.M. in Saint Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Her burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Attendance at the Funeral Mass is limited to 120 people.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln Monday 8:30-9:30 A.M. Social Distancing guidelines will be followed and all guests will be required to wear a mask at the church.
