Providence - David K. Hazard, 80, of Providence, died Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Walter C. and Ruth M. (Pettee) Hazard, he had resided in Providence for the past eighteen years, previously residing in Lincoln.
Mr. Hazard was an elementary school teacher in the Town of Smithfield for many years. He was a graduate of Rhode Island College, where he earned his master's degree in education.
David was an avid reader, who enjoyed listening to music and watching episodes of Dr. Who. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the half-brother of the late W. Russell Hazard.
