Cumberland – Darryl M. Rancourt, 57, of Woodside Avenue, died Monday, April 12, 2021 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, a son of May L. (Anderson) Rancourt of Cumberland, and the late George J. Rancourt, he had lived most of his life in Lincoln and Cumberland.
Mr. Rancourt worked as a machine operator at Woonsocket Sponging before retiring. He served in the Rhode Island National Guard and was a graduate of Cumberland High School.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Rancourt of Woonsocket, and Jessica Heeps of Fort Worth, Texas; five sisters, Diane Laflamme of Cumberland, Denise Rancourt of Norton, Massachusetts, Tracy Sousa of Cumberland, Paula Travers of Cumberland, and Lisa Bailey of Lincoln; three brothers, Russell Rancourt of Harrisville, Glenn Rancourt of Kissimmee, Florida, and Steven Rancourt of Uxbridge, Massachusetts; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Social distancing will be followed, and all guests will be required to wear a mask. His funeral will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care of R.I., 1085 North Main Street, Providence, R.I. 02904 would be appreciated.
