Lincoln - Craig J. Burgoyne, 78, of Laurel Lane, died Friday, April 26, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Dickson) Burgoyne. Mr. & Mrs. Burgoyne would have celebrated their fifty-sixth anniversary this June.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late James and Olive (Gridley) Burgoyne, he had resided in Lincoln for the past forty-five years.
Mr. Burgoyne was a mathematics teacher at the Joseph L. McCourt Middle School, Cumberland for forty-two years. He was a member of the NEA-RI.
Craig enjoyed working in his yard and on his pool. He loved to raise dogs, and spend time with his family. He coached Farm League baseball in Lincoln for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kristen Burgoyne of Glocester, Mark Burgoyne of Woonsocket, Julie Kenney, and her husband Stephen, of North Providence, and Michelle Burgoyne of Cumberland; and his sister, Linda Faria of Central Falls.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 am in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Private burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
