Lincoln - Chun Yung Loo, 88, of Foxwood Drive passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the loving husband of the late Yin Kam Tsui Loo.
Born in Hoi Ping, China, a son of the late Kwok Kee Lo and Loi Chung Hui, he moved to the United States in 1977 where he resided in Providence before moving to Lincoln.
He will be cherished in memory by his family and friends for his love of fishing, mowing his lawn, and enjoying time with his grandchildren. He found community and camaraderie at the Park Avenue Senior Center, where he proudly engaged in activities like arts and crafts, music, and of course, too many games of pool to count. A fan of Chinese television shows, he maintained a deep connection to his heritage throughout his life. As a resourceful man, he was known for his elaborate contraptions; his loved ones could always count on him for a clever solution to their problems.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Loo-Hickey and her husband Peter, of Lincoln; his son, Kenneth Loo and his wife Lisa, of Mendon Massachusetts; his sister, Tan Ping Fung, of Cranston; his brother, Harry Lee and his wife Barbara, of California; his four grandchildren Kimberly Hickey, Jason Hickey, Tyler Loo, and Nicholas Loo; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 9:00AM-10:00AM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. A private burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. For directions, or to leave a message of condolence, please visit www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com.
