Woonsocket – Charles E. Menoche, 66, formerly of Woonsocket, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Linn Health Care Center, East Providence.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur and Martha (Benoit) Menoche, he had lived in Providence, Cape Coral, Florida, and Woonsocket, before recently moving to East Providence.
Mr. Menoche worked as a draftsman, and later as a clerk for Goodwill Industries in Cape Coral. He was a graduate of Saint Raphael Academy and Hall Technical Institute.
Charles was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan, and a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion. Despite major health issues, he always had a positive outlook and maintained a great attitude and sense of humor.
He is survived by two sisters, Dianne McKinnon, and her husband George, of Sarasota, Florida, and Pauline Bellamy, and her husband Timothy, of Carolina Shores, North Carolina; and one brother, Rev. Arthur J. Menoche, Jr. of Newport News, Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Social distancing will be followed, and all guests will be required to wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Project Breathing Hope (www.breathinghope.org) or to HopeHealth Hospice Care (www.hopehealthco.org) would be appreciated.
