Coventry – Charles F. M. Ingerson, Jr., 79, of Coventry passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020. He is survived by his two daughters, Kelly Walsh and her husband William, and Jaime Carello and her husband Michael, all of Rehoboth, MA; one sister, Joan Horr of Rowe, MA; one brother, Lee Ingerson of Cranston; four grandchildren, Noah and Ethan Carello, and Lydia and Molly Walsh; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Casey F. M. Ingerson. He was the former husband of Geraldine (Leger) Ingerson and Jane (Killian) Ingerson.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Charles F. M. and Dorothy (Carroll) Ingerson, he had lived in Cranston and East Greenwich before moving to Coventry 10 years ago.
He was a self-employed building contractor for many years. After retiring, he opened Calamity Jane’s in Newport, RI. He had a generous and artistic soul and loved to carve, paint and create. He enjoyed sharing his creations with family and friends. Many of his creations can be found throughout his loved ones’ homes. They serve as a reminder of him and his talents. He lived by the credo the more you give, the richer you are.
