Cumberland - Carolyn B. Arnold, 89, of Diamond Hill Road, died Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Grandview Center, Cumberland. She was the beloved wife of the late J. Robbins Arnold.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Ruby (Heath) Betts, she had resided in Cumberland for over fifty years.
Mrs. Arnold was an avid reader of books and periodicals, and worked as a reference librarian at the Edward J. Hayden Memorial Library, Cumberland for eighteen years before retiring. She was a graduate of Wheaton College.
In addition to reading, she enjoyed knitting and birdwatching. She was a member of the Arnold Mills United Methodist Church, Cumberland.
She is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Hunt of Cumberland, Rebecca Power of Nashua, N.H., and Sarah Fuller of Cumberland; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Elizabeth Arnold Pappas.
