Cumberland- Carol M. (Donovan) Waycott, 78, formerly of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, February 16th, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Waycott of Lincoln. They were married for 51 years at the time of his death in 2019. Born in Lincoln, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Varier) Donovan.
Carol grew up in Lincoln and was a stay at home wife and mother until she became a nurse in 1976. Her grandchildren were the greatest source of joy in her lifetime. Carol was the youngest of seven children and she loved gardening and shopping. She was also an avid reader. Her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Carol was the “favorite aunt” to 16 nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed many wonderful memories with all of them.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John (Jack) Waycott, her parents Joseph and Florence Donovan, and her siblings: George Donovan, Larry Donovan. Florence V. (Donovan) Craw, John (Jack) Donovan, and Joseph Donovan.
She is survived by her children, Kristen Murphy of Cumberland and David Waycott and his wife Kristen of Lincoln; her sister Maureen Marcantonio of North Smithfield, and seven loving grandchildren: Brittany Waycott, Zachary Waycott, Mackenzie Waycott, Jack Micheal James Murphy, Samantha Murphy, Shea Murphy and Joseph P. McGarry.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, RI 02865. Visitation will be on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private
