Lincoln - Carol A. (Picard) Simpson, 84, of Lincoln died Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the former wife of David Simpson of Smithfield.
Born in Johnston, a daughter of the late Albert and Leona (Bouchard) Picard, she had resided in Johnston and Smithfield for most of her life.
Mrs. Simpson worked for Worcester Textile, North Providence, and later as a nutrition aide at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston, retiring in 2009.
Carol enjoyed being with her family, as well as gardening, bird watching and reading.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Bonin and her husband John, of Lincoln with whom she lived; and her son, Thomas Simpson of Smithfield. She was the sister of the late Albert Picard, Nina Brennan and William Picard.
