East Providence - Carol A. (Curry) Briden, 83, formerly of Providence, died Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Eastgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, East Providence.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late John Curry and Lucille (Jacques) Heroux, and step-daughter of the late Gerard Heroux, she had lived on the East Side of Providence for many years.
Carol was a graduate of Brown University, and an accomplished writer and artist. She enjoyed photography, painting, and being part of a writer's group.
Carol loved being with her family, going to Newport's Second Beach and Jazz Festival, the Saturday night dinners and spending time with her grandchildren in Colt State Park.
She is survived by two sons, David F. Briden, and his wife Valerie and James A. Briden, and his wife Mary; three sisters, Darlene Rutland, Stephanie Curry and Shannon McGrath; and five beloved grandchildren, Shannon Briden, Rachel Briden, Hope Briden, Andrew Briden and Tess Briden.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.
