North Providence - Camelia A. (Dakake) Koury, 79, of North Providence passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert Koury.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late George and Lillie (Messadi) Dakake, she had lived in North Providence for the past 31 years.
Mrs. Koury was an office employee for the Rhode Island State Police in the Scituate Barracks for 14 years before retiring.
She was a member of the Church of St. Basil the Great, Lincoln.
She is survived by her loving children, Audrey Kilsey, Deborah Kilsey and Wayne Kilsey, all of East Providence, and George Kilsey of Lincoln; her three sisters, Irene Balon of Lincoln, Frances Ballou of East Greenwich and Maryann Chandonnait of Cumberland; her three brothers, Norman Dakake of Lincoln, Eddie Dakake of Las Vegas, NV and Dennis Dakake of Wilmington, NC; her three beloved grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late
Dolores Silva and Charles Dakake.
Her Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 14 at 10 A.M. in the Church of St. Basil the Great, 15 Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Her burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery,
Providence.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Church of St. Basil the Great Thursday 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Koury's memory to the Building Fund of the Church of St. Basil the Great, 15 Skyview Drive, Lincoln, RI 02865 would be appreciated.
