Woonsocket - Bradford J. Varr, 67, of Woonsocket, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 2, 2026 at home. He grew up in West Warwick, a loved son of the late Dr. William F. Varr II and the late J. Lucille (St. Pierre) Varr, and had resided in Manville for most of his adult life, before moving to Woonsocket ten years ago.
Mr. Varr was a graduate of Moses Brown School, Franklin & Marshall University where he earned his bachelor's degree, and Florida International University where he earned his master's degree. He worked for many years as a sales broker in the plastics industry until his retirement.
An avid lover of the outdoors he was involved in Boy Scouts for many years achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and he was a member of the Manville Sportsmen's Club. In his youth he was an exceptional swimmer and held state records for many years. Brad enjoyed his summers boating around the Narraganset Bay and Block Island with friends and family.
He is survived by one daughter, Miranda Varr and her husband Jarrod Gibbons of North Smithfield; two sons, Brayden Varr and his partner Travis Fife of Salem, Massachusetts, and Keenan Varr and his wife Sasha of Lincoln; one sister, Delyse Shakespeare of Johnston; and one brother, Dr. William Varr III of Newport, and the mother of his children, Mary Varr.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, followed by a prayer service at 2:00 PM.
